PROJECT ARRIVES ON A WAVE OF PRAISE

“Every song feels honest and free. Nowhere is Parker bound by pop perfectionism or expectations.”
American Songwriter, March 2, 2026

NASHVILLE, TN (March 27, 2026) — Today, chart-topping American roots and soul singer-songwriter Joyann Parker releases her new 12-track album Life Lines. Anchored by Parker’s commanding vocals and unfiltered storytelling, the album reflects a period of personal reckoning and creative clarity

Blending soul, blues, and modern roots music, Life Lines finds Parker prioritizing honesty over polish, delivering songs that feel intentional, authentic, and deeply connected to her own experiences. Following the success of Out of the Dark (2021) and Roots (2023), which debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Blues Albums chart, Life Lines further solidifies Parker as a standout voice in today’s independent roots landscape.

The album’s focus track, “You Can Say That Again,” highlights Parker’s guitar virtuosity while paying homage to classic blues. On the track, Parker is joined by her core band — Mark Lamoine (guitar), Tim Wick (keyboards), Chris Bates (bass), Bill Golden (drums), and Scott Graves (trombone) — with additional horn contributions from special guests Rich Manik (saxophones) and Dave Foley (trumpet). Parker shares, “I came to songwriting later in life after immersing myself in traditional blues and its history. ‘You Can Say That Again’ is a funky ‘70s-inspired track that nods to the classics I love, and gives me the chance to crank up my Vox and let the guitar carry a big part of the story.”

Recorded with her longtime touring ensemble, Life Lines captures the chemistry and trust of the Joyann Parker Band, featuring Parker on vocals, guitar, and piano alongside Lamoine, Wick, Graves (horns, auxiliary percussion, background vocals), Bates, and Golden. The album was co-produced by Kevin Bowe and Parker, with Lamoine serving as executive producer. Engineered and mixed by Bowe at The Kill Room and mastered by Bruce Templeton at Microphonic, the record leans into a warm, analog-forward sound that mirrors the album’s reflective themes and emotional depth.

Several tracks from Life Lines have already earned early acclaim, including the lead single “Got Love,” an uplifting anthem inspired by a close friend’s recovery journey, and the sophomore single “End of the Line,” a stirring reflection on resilience and renewal that echoes Parker’s belief that what feels like a final chapter may instead mark the beginning of something greater. Blending up-tempo grooves with introspective songwriting, the catalogue invites listeners to move, reflect, and feel deeply.

EARLY PRAISE FOR LIFE LINES:

“In a world where so much is polished to boring perfection, Parker calls to mind a generation of musicians who preferred authenticity over checking boxes.”

— Richard Parkinson, Americana UK, February 2, 2026

“‘Got Love’ is an up-tempo rocking ballad about the importance of love regardless of what path we’re all on. The lyrics speak to everyone, the common thread, and Joyann’s voice, full bodied and soulful, conveys warmth and true soulfulness. An uplifting anthem, the song was inspired by a close friend’s recovery journey.”
— Martine Ehrenclou, Rock & Blues Muse, January 22, 2026

Life Lines embraces a vintage aesthetic inspired by the sounds of the 1970s, channeling influences such as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Van Morrison, and Albert King. The album traces the stories written across our lives — in memory, in experience, and in the lines we carry as we grow older — into a sound that feels both timeless and immediate. “I wanted ‘Life Lines’ to capture the warm grit and golden glow of ’70s Americana,” Parker says, “with songs rooted in real stories of love, loss, and resilience. It’s a reminder that getting older is a gift. Every line has a story, and I’m learning to wear mine with gratitude.”
