NASHVILLE, TN (March 20, 2026) — Joyann Parker releases “Starting Line,” the third and final single from her upcoming album Life Lines, out Friday, March 27. Produced by Kevin Bowe and Joyann Parker, the track features Parker on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, alongside Mark Lamoine (electric guitar, background vocals), Tim Wick (keyboards), Chris Bates (bass), Bill Golden (drums, percussion, background vocals), and Kenny Wilson (pedal steel).
Blending blues, soul, Americana, and rock, “Starting Line” finds Joyann Parker at her most vulnerable, tracing the emotional journey of asking for help and embracing the possibility of change. Balancing introspection with quiet optimism, the song captures the courage it takes to confront the past while holding onto hope for a fresh start.

Alongside the release, Parker also shares an official performance-style lyric video that echoes the song’s themes of accountability and renewal — capturing the weight of seeking forgiveness, the strength in taking responsibility, and the sense of hope that comes with moving forward.
Parker shares, “‘Starting Line’ is about being in need of help and having the faith, however shaky it may be, to ask for that help. Admitting my wrongdoings, asking for forgiveness from those I’ve hurt, forgiving myself, and giving myself the grace to hope for a better future brings true change and a fresh start.”

“Starting Line” follows the album’s sophomore single, “End of The Line,” released February 27, which serves as a stirring anthem of resilience and renewal, echoing Parker’s belief that what feels like a final chapter may instead be the beginning of something greater. The American Blues Scene highlighted the track for “its guitar intro nods to Southern rock while remaining contemporary, leading into Parker’s soulful vocals.” Parker adds, “What may seem like the end of the line isn’t always the end. Instead, maybe it’s a doorway to a fresh start — part of a bigger story of redemption.” Watch the “End of The Line” lyrics video here.
The lead single to the project, “Got Love” released on January 30, was praised by Americana UK as “a vibrant anthem driven by lively grooves and her soulful voice,” and Rock & Blues Muse as an“an up-tempo rocking ballad about the importance of love regardless of what path we’re all on… lyrics speak to everyone… full-bodied and soulful, conveying warmth and true soulfulness.” Inspired by a close friend’s healing journey, Parker adds, “‘Got Love’ is about choosing hope — even when things feel heavy. Watching someone I love fight their way back reminded me how powerful love can be when it’s steady, patient, and real.” Watch the “Got Love” lyric video here.
Following the Billboard Blues Albums chart success of Out of the Dark (2021) and Roots (2023), which debuted at No. 10, Life Lines finds Parker prioritizing honesty over polish, delivering songs that feel intentional, authentic, and deeply connected to her own experiences. Rooted in a lived-in, vintage 1970s aesthetic and drawing on influences from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Van Morrison, and Albert King, the album fuses soul, rock, blues, and Americana to create a timeless yet urgent collection. Exploring resilience, connection, and the invisible threads that carry us through hardship and healing, Life Lines represents Parker’s bold evolution as a genre-blending artist. “It’s a reminder that getting older is a gift,” Parker says. “Every line has a story, and I’m learning to wear mine with gratitude.”

Recorded with her longtime touring ensemble, the album captures the intimacy, trust, and musical chemistry of the Joyann Parker Band. Co-produced by Parker and Kevin Bowe, with Lamoine as executive producer, the record was crafted at The Kill Room and mastered by Bruce Templeton at Microphonic. The result is a warm, analog-forward sound that mirrors the project’s reflective themes and emotional depth.
