Blending reflective folk-rock with blues-soaked warmth, “Don’t Forget To Live” captures Heartsong at his most grounded and direct. Built around acoustic guitar, a steady groove, and an open-hearted vocal performance, the track channels the spirit of classic American songwriting while carrying his unmistakable spiritual intensity.
“‘Don’t Forget To Live’ is a song of light, life, and encouragement — a friendly reminder to flow with the tides of life and embrace each season as an opportunity for beauty to happen,” Heartsong shares. “It reminds us that all of life can be art. The lyrics, rhythm, and melody give me a real zeal for living, and I wanted to share that feeling with the world.”
The single features Heartsong on acoustic guitar and vocals, joined by Alan Singer on bass and Abelardo Bolaño Quintero on drums — a tight, intuitive trio performance that reflects the chemistry forged through years of electrifying live shows.
Along with the release of the single, Heartsong also unveils the track’s official music video. Americana Highways exclusively revealed the song and video, saying, “…the optimistic vibe is contagious. And there’s just something irresistible about the shaker. This music has a hint of ’70s springtime / summertime euphoria – something we all need right now.” The video reflects the track’s bright, easygoing spirit, pairing its sun-soaked optimism with a breezy, feel-good visual that underscores the song’s uplifting reminder to appreciate life’s simple moments.

The album marks a confident step forward in his artistic evolution. Co-produced by Heartsong and Alan Singer — with Singer mastering the record and Heartsong handling the mix — the album blends reflective, melodic folk-rock with blues-driven fire and deeply rooted sincerity. Featuring originals such as “Shooting Stars” and “Don’t Forget To Live,” alongside reinterpretations of Tom Petty’s “You Don’t Know How It Feels” and Neil Young’s “Old Man,” the project centers on presence, perseverance, and the liberating power of love.
Heartsong’s journey to this moment has been both expansive and self-determined. Raised along Virginia’s southeastern coastline and now based in Los Angeles, he channels coastal openness and West Coast vitality into music that feels both timeless and urgently present. Drawing early inspiration from Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, and Bob Marley, he approaches songwriting as a channeling process — “more penning than writing,” as he describes it — allowing melody and message to flow without ego.
His music has twice received GRAMMY ballot recognition: first for 2020’s “Ecstatic Magic” from his debut EP Get a Heart On, and again for “Evil Grieves” from his 2022 full-length The Humane Experience, a self-produced record mastered by four-time GRAMMY-winning engineer Gavin Lurssen. Sharing lineups with The Beach Boys, WAR, Canned Heat, and Cheap Trick, Heartsong has steadily built a devoted following through heartfelt songwriting, virtuosic guitar work, and uplifting, emotionally resonant performances.
With The Revelation of Freedom Heartsong, he steps fully into his identity as a self-assured, spiritually rooted artist unafraid of sincerity. The album is not simply a collection of songs, but an invitation — to reconnect, to create, and above all, to remember to live.
