NASHVILLE, TN (October 10, 2025) —  Texas-based country artist Hayden Baker, recently recognized in Guitar World as Brad Paisley’s “new favorite guitarist” and named ‘Musician of the Year’ at the 2025 Texas Country Music Industry Awards, releases his new 10-track album, Alive & Well, today. Baker’s music has surpassed two million streams in 2025 alone, and he has opened for legends including Willie Nelson, Joe Nichols, Larry Gatlin, and Tracy Lawrence, while headlining renowned venues such as Gruene Hall and The Hideout at Rodeo Houston.

Alive & Well blends traditional honky-tonk with a contemporary flair, showcasing Baker’s evolution as a songwriter and vocalist. The album features heartfelt, raw, and conviction-filled tracks that mark an exciting new chapter in his career. Baker proves that true country music isn’t just surviving, it’s thriving.

“I’ve done a lot of growing up in the past year and that is definitely reflected in these songs,” Baker says. “The main difference between this record and my last one is there is less guitar showmanship. My priority with this new album is to show folks that I can deliver as a writer and a vocalist too.”

Coinciding with the album’s release, Baker highlights the standout track “I Can’t Fix Everything,” accompanied by its official music video. Baker shares, “‘I Can’t Fix Everything’ is all of my influences rolled into one. A rocking Telecaster solo with a punchy vocal and lyrics that hit you right in the gut.”

The album title, drawn from the closing track, reflects both the genre and his personal journey: “I feel like I am really coming into my own as an artist and as a young man. Given the resurgence of traditional-sounding country music lately, it was just too perfect.”

The soulful ballad “Letting You Go” reveals the full depth of his vocals, while “We Should Do This More Often” underscores his gift for storytelling. With tracks like “Country Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere,” Baker affirms his status as one of the premier guitar-driven country artists of his generation.

With a Telecaster in hand, Baker honed his skills on Paisley’s solos before expanding into the styles of Brent Mason, John Mayer, and beyond. Paisley has praised him as “an old-school Tele ripper” and collaborated on Baker’s instrumental “Don’t Meet Your Heroes.” Baker was the first artist signed to Ronnie Dunn’s publishing company, Perfect Pitch, with Dunn praising him for “singing his a** off.” His guitar prowess, combined with storytelling and songwriting skills, has earned praise from peers including Wade Bowen (“ready and deserves to be heard”) and Aaron Watson (“No one is writing like this guy, no one is singing like this guy, and no one is playing like this guy”).

“A catalog full of great songs, a great band and great guitar tone is all I need. All the other stuff will take care of itself,” he says. With Alive & Well, Baker solidifies his reputation as both a fiery performer and a songwriter with substance, establishing himself as a rising force in Texas country music and beyond
