NASHVILLE, TN (June 19, 2026) — Today, Melbourne-based roots and Americana band FINN — led by brothers Mark and Luke Finn — return with their new single, “Oh Mary,” the latest offering from their forthcoming tenth studio album, Control, due out Friday, August 7. Recorded at Woodstock Studios in Melbourne, Control was produced and engineered by Terry Hart and mastered by GRAMMY-winning engineer Gavin Lurssen at Lurssen Mastering.

Americana UK exclusively premiered “Oh Mary,” describing the track as “a gently chugging, low-key reaffirmation of dedication, eschewing the big gestures” in favor of a more meaningful, everyday commitment, rooted in the promise: “I’ve been looking for you and I won’t let you down.”
“The song reveals a little more each time you sit with it,” the band adds. “On the surface it can feel like a simple lost-love story, but underneath it there’s this quieter idea that people move through each other’s lives in different ways — some connections lasting, others temporary, but all of them leaving something behind.”
“Oh Mary,” follows the project’s sophomore single, “River Running Through,” (released May 22) and the album’s lead single and title track, “Control” (released April 24). Performed by the band’s longtime lineup — including multi-instrumentalist Terry Hart, bassist Jeremy Staples, and drummer Daniel Angelini — “River Running Through,” showcases the collaborative musicianship that defines the band’s warm, organic sound, while “Control” pairs buoyant organ, guitars, and banjo with an underlying tension, reflecting a search for stability in an unpredictable world.

Marked as their tenth studio album, Control continues the band’s tradition of blending acoustic textures, layered harmonies, and restrained arrangements that allow the emotional core of each song to take center stage. The project represents the band’s most focused work yet — 11 carefully crafted songs exploring memory, faith, uncertainty, and human connection.
The album features a stellar lineup of collaborators, including Mark Finn (vocals and guitars), Luke Finn (vocals and guitars), Terry Hart (multi-instrumentalist), Jeremy Staples (bass), Daniel Angelini (drums), Mike Hart (backing vocals), Shane Reilly (mandolin), and Chris Commerford (guitars).
“The record is about learning to live with uncertainty,” the band explains. “The songs explore friendships, loss, faith and the quiet resilience that keeps people moving forward even when the path isn’t clear. At its heart, it’s an album about connection and the belief that the people we hold onto can still give meaning to the journey.”
Their most recent full-length project, The Waterfall (2024), an ambitious eighteen-song collection, showcases the full breadth of the band’s musical palette. Where that album explored the wide scope of their sound, Control turns inward, distilling their approach into something more focused and reflective. “After ten albums you start to understand what you really are,” FINN reflects. “‘The Waterfall’ explored the full width of what we could do. ‘Control’ goes deeper.”
Across their career, FINN have blended folk, Americana, blues, rock, and melodic pop into a cohesive style defined by thoughtful songwriting, rich vocal harmonies, and understated arrangements. Drawing on classic roots traditions while maintaining a voice entirely their own, the band continues to refine a sound that is both timeless and distinctive.
