“BOTTOMS UP”

OUT TODAY

NASHVILLE, TN (April 14, 2026) — Nashville-based Irish-American singer-songwriter Alexandra King is set to make her full-length debut with Across the Pond, arriving Friday, June 5. Blending folk, country, and traditional Irish influences, the album intertwines the three places that shaped her — New York, Nashville, and Ireland — into a deeply personal musical journey, marked by storytelling, heritage, and resilience.

Alongside the album announcement, King unveils the official music video for the project’s lively lead single, “Bottoms Up.” Filmed at the Hook & Ladder Saloon — a local pub where King grew up — the video brings together her family and friends, including her father, a local mayor and judge, and childhood friend, Marty Supreme actor Luke Manley. Released on March 13 to coincide with St. Patrick’s Day, the track delivers an energetic first glimpse into the world of Across the Pond.

Co-written with Evan Sieling, “Bottoms Up” channels the spirit of a classic pub sing-along, celebrating the warmth and camaraderie of Irish pub culture. Featuring fiddle by Oliver Bates Craven, along with mandolin, tenor guitar, acoustic guitar, and traditional bodhrán percussion, the song captures the atmosphere of a room filled with music, laughter, and shared stories. A chorus of background voices, including King, Evan, and even a playful cameo from Pillsbury the dog, adds authenticity and charm.

King shares, “‘Bottoms Up’ is pure fun. I wanted to write a classic drinking song that feels timeless, like it could’ve been sung decades ago or written last week. It’s a love letter to the Irish pub — whether in New York or Ireland itself — the dog in the corner, the turf fire burning, and the cold pint in your hand.”

Across the Pond expands far beyond the celebratory spirit of its lead single. It blends pub-born ballads, Americana warmth, and modern country sensibility while honoring King’s Irish-American heritage. Having called New York, Ireland, and now Nashville home at different points in her life, King threads together the heartbreak, humor, and grit she gathered in each place into one cohesive artistic statement.

The forthcoming LP builds on her 2025 EP Across the Pond, incorporating all four tracks — “Lose Me to Dublin,” “Freckles (in an Old Pub),” “Galway Girl,” and “Willie McBride.” Her 2024 singles, including “Chasing Rainbows” and “I’d Be Lying,” which highlight King’s fearless vulnerability as a songwriter, are also featured on the full-length LP, reflecting the full scope of her artistic voice.

Music has been central to King’s life from the beginning. Raised in a musical family, she first stepped onstage at just three years old and later performed in pubs across New York and Ireland, where her raw, heartfelt songwriting found its natural home. Summers spent in Counties Leitrim and Westmeath, paired with a brief stint studying at the University of Galway, deepened her connection to Irish storytelling traditions that continue to influence her sound today.

Her journey to Nashville, however, was marked by extraordinary resilience. In 2020, a diving accident caused a cervical spinal cord injury that temporarily left her partially paralyzed. During recovery, King relearned how to hold a guitar pick while still in the hospital — a moment that reshaped her path forward. She moved to Nashville in January 2022, recommitting fully to her musical career. That determination pulses throughout Across the Pond, an LP debut that reflects both survival and self-discovery.

With the upcoming record, Alexandra King invites listeners into a world where heritage and reinvention meet — where Irish tradition, American roots music, and personal perseverance converge into something timeless yet unmistakably her own.
